The blog files - everything you ever wanted to know about blogging

From: Heather Townsend

I've recently been looking back over my archives of my two main blogs -
partnership potential and joined up networking. There is a huge amount of posts in these two blogs, and many about the subject of blogging. I thought it may be useful to curate these blogs and put them all in a mail shot for you to pick out the blogs which will help you grow your practice.

At risk of sounding a little salesy, I guarantee that there will be at least one blog post which will be relevant to you - whether you are a pro Blogger, newbie Blogger, 'definitely never going to' Blogger, or 'want to get started, but don't know how' Blogger.

Still need to be convinced about the business benefits of blogging?
Did you know that your blog can help you gain referrals, PR and SEO without having to spend any more of your precious and often limited marketing budget?

If you are still not convinced by the specific benefits of blogging, here is a blog post which highlights why your blog is critical to a professional practice's success and 10 reasons why all lawyers (and other professionals for that matter) should blog

You've decided you want a blog for your practice, so how do you get started?
Here is some advice for lawyers and marketing managers before they set up a blog for their practice. Or some plain good quality advice for anyone who has ever worried about writing the wrong thing in a blog, and the blog post going viral
Perhaps you are wondering whether to use wordpress.com or wordpress.org, or wondering which wordpress plugins you should use, or how long your blog posts should be, or whether you should or shouldn't use guest bloggers (because after all it is your business you want to promote with your blog)

Maybe you are after some practical, but more general tips on how to set up and write a blog, or set up your own personal blog site to showcase your talents and strengths, or maybe you are wondering whether you should connect your blog to your social media profiles?

Maybe you are toying with the idea of doing some video blogging - here's how to get started with video blogging.

You've got a blog, but want to get more tangible results from your blog?
Here are ways in which you can easily get more comments, or get more people to read and engage with your content, or get the right people to read your blog. Maybe you want to know what you need to change to make your blog so more people want to read it

Here's how to stop blog fatigue creeping in - and 10 great questions which will help you become more effective with your blogging.

Maybe you are blogging too frequently? Or perhaps you are still struggling to win work via your blog

And finally, these posts are for anyone who has started to fall out of love with their blog:
21 reasons why people have stopped reading your blog and 3 reasons why professional practices are failing to use blogging to win clients.

Regardless of your blogging competence, I am sure if you have clicked through to any of these blogs, you will benefit from registering and attending our FREE audio masterclass series on client winning strategies - in which one of the teleseminars in the series is on blogging. Over 60 people have already registered for the series - what are you waiting for?

Kind Regards
Heather Townsend
